November Gardening Tips 2018

Remove fallen leaves from the lawn we have a good range of Lawn Rakes , Leaf Scoops,
And Besom Brooms.
Cut down Dahlias and Cannas store frost free. Dust Dahlias with sulphur on the tubers to prevent mold during the winter.
Check Leeks and Onions for moth caterpillars pick them off immediately to prevent damage. ( Or spray with a good Insecticide advice available at the nursery)
Divide overcrowded clumps of chives.
Plant new hedges good selection of Laurels and Conifers something to suit everyone.
Bubble glaze greenhouses . Also repair greenhouses for the winter we have a good selection of glazing clips and insulation clips.
Fleece tender plants we have fleece on offer and fleece bags with toggles for those larger expensive plants .( Good selection in store)
Clean patios and paths with Patio products also available Brushes designed for decking getting into the grooves and also wire ones for moss.

Apply greasebands to trees
Continue to mulch borders keeps out the frost on tender plants.
Plant Autumn colour using winter pansies and cyclamen. ( many Autumn colour plants available now.)
Don’t forget the Birds lots of bird products in store
Check paraffin heaters we have paraffin for sale in store
Pick the tops of leafy Brussels sprouts to slow them down from growing it has been warm weather and it has created all tops if you shred them and fry in butter they are delicious.
Don’t forget xmas trees at the end of the month if you want a containerised tree for a pot and all the cut trees will arrive also many sizes and types enquire in the garden centre.
